This policy applies to all MoveM related services we provide, including the websites and mobile apps we own and operate.
When we refer to ‘we’ (or ‘our’ or ‘us’), that means Aurita Pty. Ltd.
When we say ‘Personal Information’, we mean identifiable information about you, like your name, email, telephone number, address, payment details, support queries and so on. If you can’t be identified, i.e., when personal data has been aggregated and anonymised, then this notice doesn’t apply.
We don’t expect to update this policy frequently, however if a change is significant, we’ll make sure we let you know via email.
Our approach to data protection
We take all reasonable technical and physical security measures to protect information from loss, unauthorised access, modification, disclosure or other misuse. We strive to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of Personal Information that you submit to us through our websites and mobile apps. Including, for example by using HTTPS and SSL encryption to secure our communications and data transfers.
In addition, our employees and the contractors who provide services related to our information systems are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any Personal Information held by us.
How we use your data
First and foremost, we use your personal data to operate the MoveM platform and provide you with any services you’ve requested, and to manage our relationship with you.
We use location data (GPS tracking technology) to manage biosecurity risks by using the ability to track, locate and/or contain livestock.
Location data may be shared in real-time between parties with an interest in the location of the animals being transported. For example, both senders and receivers of livestock may wish to see the location of the driver/truck with their animals in transit. Transporters that do not wish to have their journey tracked via the mobile app may disable tracking via settings within the app.
Any GPS traces or physical addresses collected by our products or services for use in consumer or customer facing services will have additional safeguards or be covered by other explicit terms and conditions. Refer to the Public Profile section below for further details.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
To improve the quality of our mobile apps we use Microsoft's Visual Studio App Center service for both analytics and crash reporting. We do not send or collect any Personal Information via this service, however for more information on what Microsoft may collect please read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
A key part of the vision for MoveM is for farmers, breeders, and brands to showcase their unique or special attributes and practises to the consumers of their product.
Whenever we collect images or text for the static components of a public facing web profile, we endeavour to be fully transparent as to the purpose of the content being collected, and its public nature. An example would be uploading a photo of your farm to the MoveM platform to be displayed whenever a consumer scans a QR code on packaged meat originating from your farm.
Other information, whether provided by yourself or dynamically generated by our systems, may be shown to consumers to satisfy their desire for greater transparency. Should we deem the publication of specific, yet potentially sensitive information as compulsory for use of our services, this will be explicitly covered by our terms and conditions. Our strong preference however is to put you in full control of what type of information is made publicly available, with thorough consultation and communication preceding any privacy or commercially sensitive changes in this area.
Links to other apps, websites, or services
The actions of saving/sharing a National Vendor Declaration (NVD) document, perhaps using a cloud storage service, or attaching it to an email, are examples of links within the MoveM mobile app. If you choose to compose an email from within the app, some information from the app is transferred to your device’s default Mail app with the obvious intention of leaving your device. From this point, you are in control of the information (i.e. email content) that may leave your device via the Mail app, and MoveM has no visibility of your actions or ability to ‘undo’ them.
The length of time we keep your Personal Information depends on what it is and whether we have an ongoing business need to retain it (for example, to provide you with a service you’ve requested or to comply with applicable legal requirements).
We’ll retain your personal data for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a period of time afterwards where we have an ongoing business need to retain it, in accordance with our data retention policies and practices. Following that period, we’ll make sure it’s deleted or anonymised.
